About this opportunity

Jones County School System (JCSS) in Gray, Georgia, is conducting an E-Rate funded procurement for a comprehensive wireless access point replacement project across multiple district locations. The solicitation requests proposals for a one-for-one replacement of existing wireless access points, with the winning vendor responsible for uninstalling current equipment, installing new Cisco Catalyst wireless access points (including CW9164, CW9166, and CW9163E models), and transporting removed hardware to the Technology office. The total project involves 388 CW9164 units, 22 CW9166 units, and 16 CW9163E units across ten locations including schools, board of education offices, pre-K center, technology office, and transportation office. Vendors must provide a detailed project plan demonstrating hardware lead times, installation timelines, and assigned staff, along with documented experience in K-12 technology deployments. A mandatory pre-bid Zoom meeting is scheduled for December 1, 2025, at 11:30 a.m. ET, and proposal submissions are due December 19, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. ET. The evaluation criteria will be weighted 40% for cost, 30% for solution quality, and 30% for prior experience, with anticipated contract award around January 12, 2026.

The procurement does not explicitly specify set-aside designations for disadvantaged enterprises, though Georgia-based suppliers will receive reciprocal preference during evaluation. Vendors must complete comprehensive documentation including a General Information Sheet, Non-Collusion Document, District Certification Form, Immigration/Security Form, Tax Compliance Form, and W-9. Insurance requirements include workers compensation with statutory limits, $1,000,000 per occurrence commercial general liability, and $1,000,000 automobile liability coverage. The initial contract term extends from the award date through June 30 of the current fiscal year, with options for up to five total renewals. While specific budget ranges are not detailed, the project involves replacing wireless infrastructure across multiple district facilities, suggesting a significant technology investment. Bidders must be registered with the federal E-Verify work authorization program and comply with Georgia Security and Immigration Compliance Act requirements, ensuring legal workforce verification for all project personnel.
