The procurement seeks qualified contractors to provide three new cooling-only DX fan coil units (Daikin DAQ12033 units rated at 4,100 CFM with R-32 refrigerant and 10-ton capacity) and three associated condensing units (Daikin DC6TE120 units at 10 tons with 2-stage cooling), along with removal of old refrigerant piping, installation of new refrigerant piping and condensate drain lines, ductwork modifications, and electrical work including new disconnects and circuit breaker connections. The project scope also includes asbestos abatement (brown mastic under floor tile in House A and black tar pipe wrap at both units) and lead-based paint remediation (painted plaster ceiling in House A) prior to construction activities, all performed in compliance with Iowa Department of Natural Resources, Iowa Workforce Development, OSHA, and USEPA regulations. Bidders must submit proposals electronically through the IMPACS Electronic Procurement System no later than 2:00 p.m. on June 9, 2026, with bid opening scheduled for 3:00 p.m. the same day via Microsoft Teams teleconference. An optional pre-bid meeting will be held on May 21, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at the facility location (313 Lanedale, Rockwell City, Iowa 50579).
