About this opportunity
The Illinois Department of Innovation & Technology (DoIT) is procuring an emergency contract to ensure the integrity of state records and prevent the loss of state revenue for the Department of Natural Resources (DNR). The contract will provide point of sale terminals, printers, service, maintenance, and supplies associated with DNR licenses and permits sales at over 1,100 point of sale agents across the state. This emergency procurement is necessary due to the current terminals being insecure and not supported by Microsoft, which could lead to the loss of personal and financial information. The contract term is estimated to begin on September 28, 2018 and end on December 26, 2018, with a total estimated cost of $941,885.44. Funding will come from sources other than federal, state appropriated, or state grant funds.
The procurement will be awarded to vendor Aspira, who will be responsible for configuring, implementing, servicing, and supporting the new equipment, as well as providing the required supplies such as paper and ink. There are no set-aside designations or restrictions on the types of organizations that can respond, and no incumbent vendors or current contractors are listed. The procurement aims to ensure the security of the point of sale system that handles sensitive customer data and prevent further loss of revenue for DNR.
