The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) District Seven is seeking competitive sealed bids for a Campus Security Upgrades project at its headquarters in Tampa, Hillsborough County. The procurement, identified as ITB-25-7029-LV, involves comprehensive security enhancements including ballistic-resistant materials, concrete safety barriers, and specialized security installations. Specific deliverables include ballistic polycarbonate panels, metal framing, fiberglass panels, concrete bollards, speak-through speakers, and related security infrastructure. The FDOT encourages participation from small, minority, women, and service-disabled veteran businesses, implementing several inclusive procurement strategies. Bidders must provide a drug-free workplace certification, verify no involvement with scrutinized companies, and use E-Verify for employment eligibility verification. Out-of-state corporations must be authorized to do business in Florida and comply with licensing requirements from the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation. Insurance requirements include general liability coverage with combined bodily injury limits of at least $200,000 per person and $300,000 per occurrence, and property damage insurance of at least $200,000 per occurrence. Additionally, bidders must complete a Foreign Country of Concern Attestation, certifying they are not owned, organized, or controlled by governments of foreign countries of concern.
