About this opportunity

Boulder County is seeking a vendor to provide, install, and maintain commercial laundry equipment for the Joe Pelle Center, a minimum security residential facility housing alternative sentencing programs. The procurement solicitation (RFP-221-25) requires the successful vendor to supply 10 stackable commercial washer and dryer pairs that are non-coin and non-card operated, specifically designed for client use. Vendors must conduct site measurements to ensure proper equipment sizing and develop a comprehensive maintenance service plan with a mandatory repair turnaround time of 14 days from receipt of any service request. The evaluation criteria for this contract is structured as a 100-point scoring matrix, with 45 points allocated to pricing for commercial washer and dryer appliances, 35 points for in-state service contract repair pricing, 10 points for delivery and installation pricing, and 10 points for timeline efficiency in measuring, delivering, and installing the equipment. The solicitation was posted on December 4, 2025, with proposals due by December 17, 2025, and vendors are encouraged to submit questions to procurement@bouldercounty.gov.

The contract does not specify explicit set-aside designations or restrictions on responding organizations, though vendors must comply with Americans with Disabilities Act and Equal Opportunity requirements. Insurance requirements are comprehensive, mandating Commercial General Liability insurance with minimum limits of $1,000,000 per occurrence and $2,000,000 general aggregate, as well as Workers' Compensation coverage with specific statutory limits. The contract template indicates that the total contract amount will not exceed the amount specified in the procurement summary, with the highest annual amount representing the maximum the County expects to pay in any single fiscal year. While no specific budget range is detailed, vendors are required to submit pricing for the 10 stackable washer and dryer pairs, installation services, and ongoing maintenance. The contract will be effective upon signature and continue through the end date specified in the final executed agreement, with work commencing only through written task orders issued by Boulder County. Additional evaluation considerations include the vendor's sustainability practices, which will be assessed through a mandatory sustainability questionnaire covering environmental compliance, resource efficiency, and supply chain management.
