The Ambucs Park improvements include regrading and upgrading five baseball fields, renovating the gymnasium with a new ADA access ramp, and adding new walkways, bleachers, batting cages, dugouts, lighting, and stormwater infrastructure. The Volunteer Park project involves reconfiguring two football fields and four softball fields, constructing new concession and restroom buildings, and installing similar site amenities. The contract opportunity requires the work to be substantially complete within 335 calendar days and ready for final payment within 365 calendar days. A mandatory pre-bid meeting is scheduled for November 7, 2024, and bids are due by November 21, 2024.

The project is funded through various INODIC grants, though the specific grant numbers and amounts are not provided. The contract documents do not specify any set-aside requirements, incumbent contractors, or budget ranges, but do note that Disadvantaged Business Enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids, and no person shall be discriminated against on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, age, or disability.
