Increase Back-Up Electrical Generation and Site Distribution THIS PROJECT IS SET ASIDE FOR SERVICE-DISABLED VETERAN OWNED SMALL BUSINESSES (SDVOSB) ONLY The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Network Contracting Office (NCO) 10 has a requirement to Increase Back-Up Electrical Generation and Site Distribution Capacity (Project 538-18-102) at the Chillicothe VA Medical Center, 17273 St. Rt. 104, Chillicothe, OH 45601-9718. The Contractor shall completely prepare the site for building operations, including demolition and removal of existing items, and furnish labor, materials, and equipment necessary to complete all new construction which includes, but is not limited to, architectural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing as shown on drawings and specifications. Base bid work includes general construction, alterations, roads, walks, grading, drainage, necessary removal of existing structures, a new medium voltage generator, replacement of automatic transfer switches, panelboards and pad-mount transformers, new HVAC systems and replacement low-voltage emergency generators, and certain other items. The work shall include infection control measures, and mitigation measures for construction-caused dust, noise, and vibration. The work will include phasing to accommodate the Medical Centers on-going operations. Multiple outages that must be pre-coordinated with the medical center will be required.
