About this opportunity
The Department of the Air Force Materiel Command Air Force Sustainment Center seeks repair and replacement of four overhead doors at Fire Station Building 989, Tinker Air Force Base, Oklahoma, with sealed bids due June 25, 2026. This solicitation is restricted to small business MAC BOA holders only; only those who attended the mandatory site visit on May 26, 2026, are eligible to propose.
Place of performance is Tinker Air Force Base, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The estimated project value is below $25 million. NAICS code 236220 (Commercial and Institutional Building Construction) applies with a size standard of $45 million in annual receipts.
The contractor must demolish existing overhead doors and install four new Cornell 1024 High Performance Rapid Rolling Overhead Doors (two on the east side, two on the west side, approximately 14 feet by 16 feet). All doors require vision windows from 5 feet 6 inches above finished floor and must be factory painted red and designed to resist wind loads of approximately 45 psf per ASCE7-22. The contractor provides complete structural design with sealed drawings and shop drawings for all new supports, brackets, headers, and attachments. All contractor personnel must obtain AFMC Form 387 contractor badges and AF Form 1199C secure area badges for controlled area access. The project performance period is 145 calendar days from notice to proceed, with a mandatory 10-day mobilization window. A firm fixed-price contract is anticipated. Performance and payment bonds are required within 10 calendar days of award. The contractor must maintain NIST SP 800-171 compliance and obtain CMMC certification. Government witness testing and commissioning is required. The government will evaluate proposals using Lowest Priced Technically Acceptable (LPTA) procedures, evaluating technical proposals on capability/management and schedule/planning factors, followed by price evaluation. Offers providing less than 120 calendar days for government acceptance after the bid opening date will be rejected. RFIs are due June 2, 2026.
