About this opportunity
The Department of Veterans Affairs Veterans Health Administration (VA) is seeking a contractor to provide fire alarm system troubleshooting and programming services for the Portland VA Medical Center. The procurement will require a specialized contractor capable of ensuring the fire alarm system is fully functional through comprehensive troubleshooting and programming efforts. Specifically, the VA mandates that only certified EST3 technicians can perform the work, highlighting the technical expertise required for this contract. The solicitation, classified under NAICS code 561621 for Security Systems Services, will be unrestricted and open to all responsible sources. The Request for Quote is anticipated to be issued in the last week of March 2025, with a proposal response deadline of April 8, 2025, and an expected contract award in mid-April 2025.
The contract period of performance is set for one month, from May 1, 2025, to May 31, 2025. No specific set-aside designations are indicated, meaning the opportunity is open to all qualified vendors. The government has not disclosed information about any incumbent contractors for this work. The maximum value of the contract is identified as $25 million, though the specific scope of services suggests this represents a potential ceiling rather than the anticipated contract value for this specific procurement. The work will be performed in Portland, Oregon, with the Network Contracting Office 20 located in Vancouver, Washington managing the solicitation. Danielle Carrico is identified as the Contracting Officer responsible for overseeing this procurement process.
