The US Air Force Academy Aircraft Program Office of the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center's Mobility Directorate's Special Airlift Mission (SAM) Division at Tinker AFB Oklahoma will conduct an Industry Day on 16 January 2014 at the location shown above.  The purpose of the event is to provide information on the US Air Force Academy Contractor Logistics Support (CLS) program, inform industry of program requirements, and address acquisition timelines.  A preliminary draft of the Performance Work Statement (PWS) is attached.  Industry Day PowerPoint presentation slides will be posted to this site by 3 January 2014.  Copies of the presentation slides will not be provided at Industry Day; therefore attendees are encouraged to print a copy of the slides and bring them to the meeting.

The Government will not be conducting one-on-one discussions during this event; however, short side boards may be presented to discuss alternatives that are of a proprietary nature that afternoon.  All questions asked during a sideboard will be posted non-attributable to FedBizOps.  If you desire a sideboard, contact Ms. Shirley Harmon at Shirley.harmon.1@us.af.mil  no later than 8 January 2014.  Please do not use sideboards as a marketing tool, but as an opportunity to better understand requirements and provide feedback to the Government.

The Government welcomes any feedback, questions or comments to assist us in developing a successful acquisition.  As such, the Government reserves the right to incorporate suggested changes into the acquisition without identifying the submitter or obtaining approval.  All questions must be submitted in writing on company letterhead to the Contracting Officer by e-mail.  Questions should be limited to matters not involving classified and/or business proprietary matters.  At any time after receipt of comments/questions, the Government reserves the right to contact respondents for further clarification of the submittal.  The Government does not intend to answer all questions at Industry Day; however, all questions received from potential offerors and Government responses will be posted to FedBizOps by 31 January 2014.

This announcement is not a contract, request for proposal (RFP), a promise to contract, or a commitment of any kind on the part of the Government. Attendance at Industry Day is strictly voluntary.  The Air Force will not assume liability for costs incurred by an attendee or for travel expenses or marketing efforts; therefore, attendee's cost in response to this notice is not an allowable direct charge and will not be reimbursed by the Government.

Industry Day Registration:

Registration will be conducted in advance; doors will open at 8:00 A.M. on 16 January 2014.  This is a no-fee event and seating is limited.  Three attendees will be allowed per firm/company.  The Industry Day registration form (posted to the right) must be sent by 8 January 2014, to Ms. Shirley Harmon via email Shirley.harmon.1@us.af.mil.  An e-mail confirmation will be sent upon receipt.  Late registration and "walk-in" requests will not be permitted. Attendees must present a CURRENT photo ID (driver's license, military ID, company ID or passport) matching the attendee information submitted via the Registration Form.  Attendees are encouraged to arrive early to permit sufficient time for check-in.  This is an UNCLASSIFIED event; no clearances are required.  Information presented at the event will be made available via FedBizOps to offerors unable to attend.

Companies responding to this request should indicate whether they are a large or small business, small disadvantaged business, woman-owned small business, HUBZONE small business and/or service disabled veteran-owned small business.  Please inform us if your company intends to perform the work as the prime contractor or if you desire to subcontract with a prime contractor. Ensure your response contains your company's name, street address, point of contact with phone number, CAGE Code and email address, company web page URL.  All responses must be unclassified.
