About this opportunity
The Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) awarded a non-competitive sole source contract to Business International W.L.L. on February 4, 2026, for a short-term lease and maintenance support of 81 multifunctional devices (MFDs) under contract number SP700026Q0007. The contract value is $44,412.00 and provides for up to a 6-month lease period to ensure continuity of operations until new MFDs are delivered under a separate follow-on contract by the March 1, 2026 deadline. The non-competitive award was justified based on the urgent timeline requirements and the fact that the incumbent vendor holds exclusive lease rights to the existing equipment, making competitive procedures impractical and risking operational degradation for numerous DLA customers if the contract were not awarded promptly.
Notice text
Reference FAR 13.106-1(b), This action was not awarded competitively. Short term lease and maintenance support for 81 multifunctional devices (MFDs) is needed to allow continuation of performance until new devices are delivered under the awarded follow-on contract. The Government does not own the MFDs. Although other vendors lease MFDs, no other vendor has lease rights to the existing equipment. Attempting to award a short-term contract via competitive procedures would result in unacceptable delays to achieve contract award and delivery/installation of new equipment required to meet all requirements in the Statement of Work by March 1, 2026. Failure to award a sole source order would result in numerous DLA customers being forced to operate without MFD capabilities. This would significantly degrade their ability to accomplish their mission.
Awarded contract SP700026Q0007 to BUSINESS INTERNATIONAL W.L.L. for 44412.00 on 2026-02-04.
