About this opportunity
The U.S. Embassy Canberra is seeking quotations for 60 multi-fuel cards to be used throughout Australia for purchasing diesel, unleaded petrol, oil, and car wash services at commercial fueling stations. The solicitation, issued by the Department of State, is a competitive procurement targeting fuel card services for a one-year contract period from April 1, 2025, through March 31, 2026. The government intends to award the contract to the responsible company submitting the lowest-priced, acceptable quotation, potentially without holding discussions. Quotations must be submitted electronically to CNBGSOProcurement@state.gov by 4:00 PM AEST on March 5th, 2025, and all contractors must be registered in SAM.gov prior to award. The evaluation will focus on pricing, with a requirement for quotations to be submitted in Australian Dollars and include GST as a separate line item.
The solicitation does not have a specific set-aside designation and applies to fuel dealers across Australia. The contract calls for monthly billing to 14 separate cost centers, with detailed expenditure reports tracking individual transactions, locations, dates, and prices. The expected fuel consumption is approximately 6,500 liters per month, to be used at the U.S. Embassy location in Harman, Australian Capital Territory. The Contracting Officer's Representative will be the U.S. Embassy Transportation Supervisor, who will oversee the contract's implementation. While specific budget ranges are not disclosed, the procurement is structured to meet the embassy's transportation fuel and service needs through a comprehensive fuel card program that provides nationwide coverage and detailed transaction tracking.
