About this opportunity
The Department of State is seeking a firm fixed-price contract for TV and Internet Services for the U.S. Embassy in Tokyo, Japan. The solicitation requires contractors to provide comprehensive television and internet connectivity to multiple embassy locations, including the Chancery Building, Ambassador's Residence, and Mitsui Housing Compound. Potential bidders must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM.gov) and comply with various federal requirements, including Executive Order 14173 regarding anti-discrimination standards. The government may award the contract based on initial quotes without further discussion, with electronic submissions accepted up to February 24, 2025 (extended to March 4, 2025, per Amendment 0002). Key evaluation considerations include technical capability, service availability (99.7% uptime), and ability to provide 24/7 support with on-site response within 8 hours for major outages.
The contract is not set aside for any specific business category and will cover a one-year base period with four potential one-year option years and a possible six-month extension. The incumbent contractor is ALLIED TELESIS CAPITAL CORP. from San Jose, California. Services must be fully operational by July 1, 2025, with specific technical requirements including a 1Gbps internet connection for the Chancery Building and 20Mbps for the Mitsui Housing Compound. The place of performance is located in Minato City, Tokyo, Japan, with service specifications including a comprehensive TV package featuring Embassy Channel, AFN channels, Japanese local channels, and dedicated internet connectivity. While specific award values were not explicitly stated, the contract involves complex telecommunications infrastructure for a major diplomatic mission in Japan.
