About this opportunity
The United States Marine Corps is seeking knowledge-based services to support Marine Corps training with semiautonomous, human-type Trackless Mobile Infantry Targets (TMITs) capable of moving within established geographic boundaries on live-fire ranges and training areas. The services include operating the TMITs, maintaining equipment, developing training scenarios, and conducting after-action reviews at multiple locations. Proposals will be evaluated based on the offeror's technical approach, past performance, and pricing, using a best-value tradeoff process. Proposals are due by April 15, 2024, and the government will award a single indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract.
This procurement is a total small business set-aside under NAICS code 611519. The contract will be for a base year with four one-year option periods, with a guaranteed minimum value of $1,000 and a maximum value of $249,000,000. Services will be performed at Marine Corps bases in North Carolina, California, Hawaii, Japan, and Virginia, supporting an average of 64 training hours per week across the locations.

The Trackless Mobile Infantry Targets (TMIT) training capability services procurement is for knowledge-based services within the Education and Training portfolio and the Knowledge Based Services portfolio group consistent with the Department of Defense’s Taxonomy for the Acquisition of Services and Supplies & Equipment. The services include supporting Marine Corps training with semiautonomous, human-type, TMITs capable of moving on a training range within established geographic boundaries to ensure safety, and to present shooters with realistic, moving threats on Marine Corps live-fire ranges and training areas.
