About this opportunity
The Department of the Air Force Space Command is seeking electrical contractors to repair and upgrade emergency power systems at Facility 1319 on Patrick Space Force Base. The project involves providing labor, equipment, and materials to increase the electrical load, including replacing the existing automatic transfer switch, installing a new building supply circuit, and resupplying electrical distribution panels. Contractors must comply with current State of Florida Building Code, National Electric Code, and Space Launch Delta 45 Installation Facilities Standards. The solicitation requires a mandatory site visit on 1 April 2025, with badge requests due by 25 March 2025, and questions from potential bidders due by 4 April 2025. The final bid submission is due on 18 April 2025 at 11:30 A.M. EST, with bids to be evaluated based on compliance with technical specifications and SDVOSB requirements.
The contract is exclusively set aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB) under NAICS code 238210, with a size standard of $19.0M. The project has an estimated contract value between $500,000 and $1,000,000, with a performance period of 180 calendar days after Notice to Proceed. Contractors must self-perform at least 25% of the contract work and are limited to subcontracting no more than 75% of the contract value to non-SDVOSB entities. The work will be performed at Patrick Space Force Base in Florida, specifically focusing on electrical infrastructure upgrades at Facility 1319. Currently, funds are not available for the project, and the government reserves the right to cancel the solicitation at any time without reimbursing offeror costs.
