About this file

The document is a comprehensive Transient Contractor HAZMAT Tracking Process guide from the 45th Space Wing of the U.S. Air Force, detailing the procedural steps for managing hazardous materials during a construction contract. The process involves multiple stakeholders including the Contracting Officer (CO), Installation Hazardous Materials Program (IHMP) Manager, and the contractor, who must systematically track and report hazardous material usage through specific forms and the Enterprise Environmental Safety and Occupational Health Management Information System (EESOH-MIS).

Key steps include the contractor initially proposing a list of hazardous materials to the Contracting Officer, who then forwards it to the IHMP Manager for review and approval. The contractor must prepare Chemical/Hazardous Material Request/Authorization Forms with current Safety Data Sheets for each material, which are then reviewed and inputted into the system. Throughout the contract, the contractor must provide quarterly purchase reports of trackable hazardous materials, with the IHMP Manager continuously inputting usage data. Upon contract completion, a final report is submitted to close out the hazardous materials tracking in the system.
