About this opportunity
The U.S. Coast Guard is procuring a complete standby generator package for USCG Station Tillamook Bay consisting of an outdoor diesel-powered 150KW 208V 3-phase standby generator with weatherproof corrosion-resistant housing, a 600-amp automatic bus transfer switch, and a 48-hour fuel tank with level indicator. The generator system must meet specific technical requirements including UL2200 certification for the generator and a double-wall UL-142 fuel tank, and is intended to provide backup power during severe weather storms to maintain station habitability and 24/7 response readiness. The procurement will be evaluated using the Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA) method, with the government intending to award to the responsible offeror submitting the lowest-priced quote that meets all technical specifications. Critical deadlines include a question submission cutoff of September 24, 2025, with quotes due on September 29, 2025 at 12:00 PM PST, submitted via email to Contract Officer Patrick Stewart using Standard Form 1449 with detailed cost breakdowns including shipping.
This procurement is designated as a 100% small business set-aside under solicitation number RFQ 37400PR250000066, with no incumbent contractors identified in the documentation. While no specific contract value is disclosed, the procurement involves delivery of one each of the three major components (generator, transfer switch, and fuel tank) to the USCG Station Tillamook Bay located at 1200 Oregon Coast Hwy, Garibaldi, Oregon 97118. The Questions and Answers documentation indicates a 22-week lead time for the generator equipment, which the contracting team has deemed acceptable. The scope is limited to delivery only, with no installation services required, and contractors must be registered in the System Award Management (SAM) database prior to award consideration.
