About this opportunity

The Department of Veterans Affairs Veterans Integrated Service Network 10 issued Amendment A00001 to solicitation 36C25026Q0974 on September 15, 2026, posting responses to offeror questions on smoke and fire damper inspection services, with quote due date remaining September 18, 2026 at 2:00 PM Local Time. The procurement is set aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business.

The work encompasses inspection of approximately 610 fire and smoke dampers at a VA facility, including fusible-link replacement and deliverables comprising digital and paper reports with unique damper IDs, pass/fail status, location data, photographs, deficiency descriptions, and recommended corrective actions. Technicians must hold ICB Certified Fire and Smoke Damper Contractor/Supervisor certification or Safenetix CFSDI-1 certification and comply with NFPA 80, NFPA 105, and local requirements. The contract is firm-fixed price and covers inspection and fusible-link replacement but excludes repairs. The VA will provide mechanical drawings and previous six-year inspection reports identifying damper locations. Some dampers occupy sensitive areas requiring special personal protective equipment and coordination with Facilities Management and Police Services for fire alarm and Building Automation System resets. Most work occurs during normal business hours with some after-hours inspections possible. Contractors receive PIV badges with minimal access and escorts when needed. SDVOSB subcontracting limitations do not apply. Offerors must acknowledge receipt of this amendment prior to the September 18 deadline.
