About this opportunity
The Special Notice is related to a federal contract opportunity issued by the Department of the Air Force for the operations and maintenance of the Alaska Radar System (ARS). The ARS provides air sovereignty monitoring capabilities in support of the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) and United States Northern Command (USNORTHCOM) missions, as well as providing civil aircraft information to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
The purpose of this Special Notice is to inform contractors of upcoming dates for a preproposal conference, question and answer sessions, and a site visit, as well as to provide a draft Request for Proposals (RFP) for the ARS Operations and Maintenance contract. The requirement is categorized under NAICS codes 561210 Facilities Support Services and 517810 All Other Telecommunications, and both areas are critical to the success of the ARS mission. The contract is a full and open competition, and contractors will be evaluated on past technical experience, small business participation, and price. Contractors must submit proposals by June 7, 2024 through the Procurement Integrated Enterprise Environment (PIEE) module.
