About this opportunity
The Department of the Air Force Air Combat Command is seeking contractors to replace multiple shade structures at Moody Air Force Base that were damaged during Hurricane Helene. The project encompasses three locations: Mission Lake Playground, Child Development Center (CDC), and Outdoor Pool, requiring complete replacement of shade structures with UV-resistant weatherproof fabric, new hardware installation, and site restoration. Contractors must provide all necessary equipment including Lull Forklifts for installation, dumpsters, and portable restrooms, while ensuring proper installation with no sagging and maintaining structural integrity. The procurement will be evaluated using the Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA) criteria, with bids required to include detailed action plans for each worksite. A site visit was conducted on June 5th, 2025, with no follow-on visits planned, and proposal submissions are due August 13, 2025 at 1000 hours. Amendment 0002 extended the original due date and provided a revised Statement of Work with updated specifications.
This opportunity is designated as a 100% Small Business Set-Aside under NAICS code 314999 (All Other Miscellaneous Textile Product Mills). No incumbent contractors or budget ranges are specified in the solicitation documents. The scope includes replacing nine shade structures total: one 45'x55' 3-Dome Hanging Cantilever at Mission Lake Playground, four pyramid-style structures at the CDC ranging from 12'x12' to 24-1/2'x24-1/2', and four structures at the Outdoor Pool including a 10'x10' slide sunshade and a 90'x18'x11' 4-post shade structure. All work will be performed at Moody Air Force Base on Bemiss Road in Moody AFB, Georgia.
