About this opportunity
This pre-solicitation notice seeks to procure mission assurance services for the Rocket Systems Launch Program through Solicitation Number FA8818-18-R-0003. The Department of the Air Force Space Command Space and Missile Systems Center requires independent validation and verification of analyses, assessments, evaluations, and on-console support for Peacekeeper, Minuteman, and commercial launch vehicles. Statements of Capabilities are due within 30 days and will be evaluated based on technical requirements, previous experience, personnel qualifications, and security clearances. A draft RFP is expected in January or February 2019.
The acquisition is a total small business set-aside with a NAICS code of 541715 and size standard of 1,250 employees. The indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract will support an anticipated increase in missions from 1-2 to 3-4 per year and include aging surveillance of motors, engineering assessments, and test support. Incumbent contractors currently provide excess ballistic missile sustainment and launch operations support.
