Place of performance is the Research Center Building at Lava Beds National Monument, Tulelake, California. Work scope includes removing approximately 185 linear feet of existing black iron fire suppression piping and installing a new CPVC fire sprinkler system with a 1-inch riser, 13 sprinkler heads, NFPA-compliant antifreeze, a 1-gallon expansion tank, and a 1-inch double check backflow preventer. All materials must be UL-listed and FM-approved. The contractor must perform system flushing, hydrostatic testing per NFPA 13 and NFPA 25, and final certification. Design shall be performed by a fire protection engineer, NICET III technician, or Contracting Officer-approved equivalent; installation by a state or municipal certified sprinkler contractor, NICET Level II technician, or equivalent.
Performance runs November 9 through December 11, 2026, with work to commence within 10 calendar days of Notice to Proceed and complete within 30 calendar days.
