About this opportunity

This Request for Information from the U.S. Army Health Contracting Activity on behalf of the Defense Health Agency seeks market research information to analyze requirements for regulated medical waste removal services at over 300 military medical treatment facilities across the United States, Guam, and Puerto Rico. The draft Performance Work Statement outlines requirements for pick-up, transportation, and disposal of regulated medical waste in compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Responses are requested to provide feedback on contracting arrangements and commercial solutions by January 24, 2020. Evaluation criteria in a subsequent solicitation will emphasize technical approach, past performance, and price.

The RFI does not include any set-aside designations. The NAICS code is 562211 and PSC code is S206. Exhibits provide estimated monthly waste quantities and designated pick-up frequencies for over 300 sites. The total contract value is not specified but is estimated to exceed $10 million annually based on waste disposal budgets at Defense Health Agency medical treatment facilities.
