About this opportunity
This Request for Information solicits market research information to assist the Defense Health Agency in analyzing requirements for regulated medical waste removal services at over 150 Department of Defense medical treatment facilities located throughout the continental United States, Alaska, Hawaii, Guam, and Puerto Rico. The Defense Health Agency is considering an enterprise-wide, performance-based contract to provide continued waste removal support. Interested parties are requested to provide feedback on the draft Performance Work Statement by January 10, 2020 to inform the agency's acquisition approach. Responses should address experience providing comparable services on an enterprise basis and ability to serve all identified locations.
The solicitation does not include any set-aside designations. The identified NAICS code is 562211 and PSC code is S206. Current contractors were not named but the RFI indicates services are needed for weekly, biweekly, or monthly medical waste pick-ups in quantities ranging from 1 to 29,622 pounds at over 150 individual military treatment facility sites. The RFI does not specify potential contract values given its market research purpose, but estimates total regulated medical waste quantities and frequencies are provided for each location.
