RECOVERY (ARRA) THIS IS NOTIFICATION THAT THE US FOREST SERVICE HAS AWARDED THIS CONTRACT TO THE ABOVE MENTIONED CONTRACTOR.
This acquisition was advertised April 14, 2010 as a total Small Business set-aside, and any resultant firm-fixed price contract will be awarded pursuant to FAR 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. In accordance with FAR Part 36.204(b), the estimated magnitude of construction was between $25,000 and $100,000. The estimated contract period of performance is 64 calendar days after the Notice to Proceed. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 237110. The Small Business Administration size standard is $33.5 million. Contractors were required to be actively registered with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) system and the Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA).
The contractor will provide all management and project administration services, quality control, logistical support, vehicles, labor, equipment and materials to complete the project on time and on schedule. The scope of work includes installation of two separate septic systems including all related appurtenances at the El Cariso Hot Shot Camp. Work includes intercepting existing lines at building and manways, and installing new sewer line to new septic tank and leach field and abandonment of some existing lines. At Silverado Fire Station, work includes replacement of existing septic tank and connection to existing leach field, pumping the existing septic tank clean of sewage, demolishing existing septic tank, installation of new traffic rated septic tank, sewer line, distribution box and all related appurtenances.
The location is in Cleveland NF - El Cariso Hot Shot Camp and Silverado Fire Station in San Diego, CA.

RECOVERY (ARRA) - The work consists of the Installation of four separate septic systems at the El Cariso Hot Shot Camp and the Replacement of the existing septic tank at the Silverado Fire Station.
This project is funded by the American Recovey & Reinvestment Act (ARRA).
Amendment 3 is included with this posting and Attachments 1 - 3.
The purpose of this Amendment 3 is to 1) Revise and Replace the Schedule of Items (Att 1), 2) add Specification Section 01505 - Mobilization (ATT 2); Specification Section 02050 - Demolition (Att 3); Specification Section 03100 - Concrete Formwork (Att 4); and Specification Section 03200 - Concrete Reinforcement (Att 5) of this Amendment, add to the Request for Quote Documentation; and 3) Answers to Vendor's Questions
that follow:
Q)Can you tell me how the material testing and
special inspections will be handled for the
Recovery Cleveland National Forest Wastewater
Improvements Project? Via the owner or the
Contractor?
A)All material testing and special inspections
and quality control will be the responsibility of
the contractor.
Q)Are your requiring cleanouts every 50 feet?
A)Cleanouts will be required to be installed AS
SHOWN ON CONTRACT DRAWINGS and where the
Uniform Plumbing Code 2006 with California amendments,
requires they be installed for this type of sewer
installation.
