About this opportunity

The Department of the Air Force Pacific Air Forces is seeking market research responses for a comprehensive renovation and expansion project at the Fitness Center B622 located at Misawa Air Base in Japan. The project involves replacing exterior aluminum windows with Anti-Terrorism compliant windows, repairing the architectural facade and roof, upgrading interior finishes, and improving plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and fire protection systems. Interested firms must submit 5-page responses by February 18, 2025, at 4:30 PM JST, detailing company information, points of contact, and comments on draft specifications. Contractors must be authorized to operate in Japan and obtain necessary local licenses and permits. The estimated contract value ranges between $10,000,000 and $25,000,000 (approximately ¥1.46-3.64 billion at FY25 exchange rates). The total performance period is 555 calendar days, including 30 days for initial mobilization. Potential contractors will need to demonstrate expertise in complex renovation projects, particularly in international settings with specific technical requirements. The project's scope includes reconfiguring spaces for improved functionality and expanding storage areas, with a focus on meeting international building and safety standards.
