About this opportunity
The Department of the Air Force Space Command is seeking a contractor to provide comprehensive vertical transportation equipment (VTE) maintenance services at Patrick Space Force Base in Florida. The contract requires a full-service maintenance provider to maintain, repair, and inspect 19 pieces of VTE, including passenger elevators, freight elevators, wheelchair lifts, stair lifts, and material lifts across multiple base buildings. Key contract requirements include maintaining 95% VTE availability, responding to routine service calls within 1 working day and emergency calls within 2 hours, and ensuring all maintenance complies with ASME A17.1 safety standards. Contractors must submit a 5-page capabilities package by March 19, 2025, at 9 AM EST to Contracting Officer Cynthia Whittaker, including company details, business status, and past performance references. Evaluation criteria will focus on service availability, response times, repair quality, and reporting accuracy.
While no specific set-aside was initially identified, the government expressed a preference for small business classifications including 8(a), HUBZone, SDVOSB, WOSB, or EDWOSB. The contract falls under NAICS Category 238290 (Other Building Equipment Contractors) with a $22 million size standard. Interested firms must provide their Unique Entity Identifier (UEI), Cage Code, SAM registration, and GSA contract details if applicable. The solicitation number is FA252125QB044, and submissions must be electronically sent in PDF format. Although specific award values are not explicitly stated, the comprehensive nature of the maintenance requirements suggests a potentially significant contract scope covering ongoing vertical transportation equipment maintenance across Patrick Space Force Base's facilities.
