About this opportunity

The Department of the Army Michigan Army National Guard is seeking a contractor to provide complete removal and replacement of a 12'W x 14'T overhead door and operator for Building 190 at Selfridge Air National Guard Base in Michigan. The replacement door must be a rolling steel, insulated, flat slat door with vision lights and wind locks, featuring a galvanized cowl/hood and color-matched to the existing door. Key requirements include a 115V right-side drive operator wired by the contractor, a new constant-pressure operation switch, complete replacement of all door seals, and proper off-base disposal of materials except for the old operator which must be turned over to the government. A mandatory site visit is scheduled for Wednesday, April 3, 2025 at 2pm EST, with base access request forms required at least 3 days prior. The original proposal due date was May 2, 2025, though funds are not currently available and are anticipated to become available no later than September 30, 2025.

This solicitation is set aside for Women-Owned Small Business (WOSB) concerns under NAICS code 332321 (Metal Window and Door Manufacturing) with a size standard of 750 employees. The contract will be structured as a firm fixed-price arrangement, though no specific award values or budget ranges have been disclosed in the available documentation. The project involves replacing a single overhead door unit measuring 12 feet wide by 14 feet tall, with performance taking place at Selfridge Air National Guard Base in Harrison Township, Michigan. Multiple Request for Information documents have been issued to clarify painting requirements, specifically that the contractor must paint both sides of the door to match the existing "Creech Brown" color with a flat finish. The contractor must provide all necessary equipment for the door removal and replacement, making this a comprehensive turnkey installation project.
