About this opportunity
The Department of the Air Force Global Strike Command seeks a containerized high-pressure nitrogen generator/compressor system with onsite installation, testing, and training, with proposals due September 22 at 2:00 p.m. CDT and questions due September 17 at 2:00 p.m. CDT. This is a total small business set-aside under NAICS 333912 (Air and Gas Compressor Manufacturing), Disadvantaged Small Business category, with a 1,000-employee size standard.
Place of performance is Dyess Air Force Base, Abilene, Texas. The system must be skid-mounted or trailer-mounted, producing a minimum 26 scfm at 95.5% nitrogen purity with adjustable output, 500 psig minimum storage pressure, and 400 psig discharge pressure. It must operate continuously for 24 hours without interruption on 480VAC, three-phase, 60Hz power, fit within 156 inches long by 78 inches wide by 74 inches tall, and weigh no more than 5,000 pounds; the Q&A clarifies maximum weight at 15,000 pounds. The system incorporates an air compressor feeding nitrogen membranes connected to a nitrogen booster compressor with 900 scf onboard ASME-coded storage capacity. Preliminary testing and system tuning must occur at the contractor's facility before shipment; eight-hour acceptance testing occurs at the contractor's facility prior to delivery. Delivery is desired within 120 calendar days but is negotiable; alternative schedules of 6–8 months are acceptable. Onsite installation, testing, and training must commence within 14 days of delivery. The contractor must provide three days of onsite training for three personnel and a minimum one-year warranty covering parts, workmanship, and performance. Award will be Firm-Fixed Price, FOB Destination. Evaluation considers technical acceptability, delivery time, and price. Three amendments (September 16, 17, 17) updated salient characteristics, testing requirements, and Q&A clarifications; additional Q&A updates are pending. Contracting Officer is Maren Quinones-Burgess; quotes submit to Christi.Murphy.1@us.af.mil and Maren.quinones-burgess@us.af.mil.
