About this file

This is a Salient Characteristics document outlining the specifications and requirements for a containerized high pressure nitrogen generator/compressor system to be delivered to Dyess Air Force Base for the Department of the Air Force Global Strike Command under solicitation FA466126Q0078.

The system must be either skid-mounted or trailer-mounted with a minimum flow rate of 26 scfm at 95.5% nitrogen purity and adjustable capacity. Technical specifications include a minimum storage pressure of 500 psig, discharge pressure of at least 400 psig, and 480VAC three-phase 60Hz power requirements. The unit must not exceed dimensions of 156" long by 78" wide by 74" tall and weigh no more than 5,000 pounds. The design shall incorporate an air compressor feeding nitrogen membranes connected to a nitrogen booster compressor with 900 scf on-board storage capacity, enabling continuous operation for a minimum of 24 hours without interruption. The contractor must complete preliminary testing and system tuning prior to delivery and conduct eight-hour acceptance testing at Simpro's facility to verify all production specifications are met without issue. Installation must be completed within 120 days and ready for testing, excluding delays related to payment, parts availability, and force majeure. The contractor shall provide electronic operational manuals including vendor-supplied documentation, onsite installation and setup at Dyess Air Force Base, a minimum of three days of onsite training by a system expert, and a minimum one-year warranty covering parts, workmanship, and performance of the installed equipment.
