The barges have specific dimensional requirements: 160' length, 36' beam, and 11' depth, with a bow and stern rake. Interested contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database and obtain solicitation documents exclusively from SAM.gov. The place of performance is the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Vicksburg Supply Base, located 4.5 nautical miles up the Yazoo River in Vicksburg Harbor, Mississippi. Contractors will be responsible for submitting contract drawings to ABS for class approval, providing engineering services, fabricating the barges, testing all barge-related equipment, and obtaining ABS Class certification. While a specific award value is not explicitly stated, the project involves constructing four specialized marine vessels for river and intracoastal waterway service.
