About this opportunity

The United States Marine Corps has issued a Special Notice for an upcoming contract opportunity to provide quarterly preventive maintenance on equipment used in the Qualified Recycling Program at Marine Corps Base Hawaii. The contract will have a base year with four option years.

The purpose of this Special Notice is to prepare industry for the upcoming solicitation, which will be posted on SAM.gov. The contractor will be required to perform preventive maintenance on various aging equipment, including balers, shredders, and deformers, as detailed in the Performance Work Statement. The contractor must follow the original equipment manufacturer's operation and maintenance manuals when conducting the maintenance. While this is not a request for quote, the Marine Corps is providing advance notice to allow interested parties to prepare for the upcoming solicitation, which is due on April 11, 2024. There are no set-asides for this contract, and the Marine Corps will provide operation and maintenance manuals for both existing and any new, similar equipment that may be installed during the period of performance from 2024 to 2028.

Marine Corps Base Hawaii has an upcoming contract opportunity will be a base year plus four option years. It will be to provide quarterly machine maintenance for our Environmental Department.  THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTE. See below for more details: 

The contractor shall provide quarterly preventive maintenance (PM) on Qualified Recycling Program (QRP) equipment listed below. The contractor shall perform all maintenance recommended by the original equipment manufacturer (OEM). Operation and Maintenance (O&M) Manuals will be provided for each piece of equipment listed in this contract.  Contractor must follow the OEM O&M Manuals when conducting PM. Waste generated by any PM service will be disposed of by MCBH.  This contract is for equipment maintenance only.

The equipment listed below are the units covered under this contract. These machines are located in different areas owned by the United States Marine Corps. Many of these units are aging and some equipment will be replaced with new, similar equipment as needed from 2024 to 2028. OEM O&M Manuals will be provided for all new equipment. When a new unit comes online, a proposal will need to be submitted that corresponds to that new piece of machinery.
