About this opportunity
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is conducting a market survey for hazardous waste disposal services at the Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center (MMAC) in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The procurement seeks a contractor to provide comprehensive hazardous and industrial waste management services, including labor, materials, and emergency response capabilities for waste disposal within 60 miles of MMAC. Qualified vendors must submit a capability statement on company letterhead by February 3, 2025, at 3:00 P.M. Central Time, demonstrating their ability to meet the Statement of Work requirements. Respondents must be active in the System for Award Management (SAM) and provide company information, including NAICS codes, past performance details, and potential partnership agreements. The FAA will use these market survey responses to inform acquisition planning and determine potential small business set-aside opportunities.
The market survey does not currently have a specific set-aside designation but is exploring potential opportunities for small businesses, 8(a) businesses, and Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses. The annual waste quantity is approximately 97,173.2 pounds, with quarterly variations ranging from 15,602.5 to 38,796.3 pounds. The contract will require quarterly waste removal, including specific waste types such as lab packs, waste fuels, paint thinners, antifreeze, batteries, and compressed cylinders. Contractors must provide a 3-hour emergency response time and comply with federal, state, and local regulatory requirements, including EPA's e-Manifest system. The scope of work emphasizes a "cradle to grave" approach to hazardous waste management, with a focus on maximizing recycling and reuse methods while handling sensitive and classified chemical waste.
