About this opportunity
The National Aeronautics and Space Administration Goddard Space Flight Center (NASA/GSFC) is seeking responses from interested parties for a draft Request for Proposal (RFP) to provide the Landsat Next Instrument Suite (LandIS). The LandIS will consist of 26 spectral band sensors covering visible, near-infrared, shortwave-infrared, and thermal-infrared wavelengths to collect moderate resolution multispectral imagery of the global landmass. The RFP aims to procure three identical instrument suites to be integrated on separate Landsat Next observatories. Responses are requested to verify the feasibility of requirements and promote competition, though this is not a binding commitment. Interested offerors should monitor SAM.gov for the potential release of the final solicitation and any amendments.
The contract opportunity is unrestricted, with no set-aside designation. NASA intends to publicize a listing of respondents to facilitate teaming arrangements, but firms can request to opt out of inclusion. The anticipated contract is a cost-plus-fixed-fee term with a base period through 2028 and options for continued operations. Specific award values or budget ranges are not provided in the pre-solicitation, but the RFP covers delivery of three LandIS units and potential options for additional instruments.
