About this opportunity
The Department of Veterans Affairs Veterans Health Administration Network Contracting Office 21 intends to award a sole source firm-fixed price contract for maintenance and repair services of a Philips MRI dStream system located at the VA Sierra Nevada Health Care System in Reno, Nevada. The procurement is structured as a base contract plus one option year and is designated as non-competitive due to Philips North America, LLC's proprietary rights as the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM). Only Philips-certified Field Service Engineers are authorized to provide compatible parts, service, and proprietary hardware installation for this specialized medical equipment, with the OEM guaranteeing work exclusively when performed by these certified technicians. Interested firms must demonstrate their capability to meet the government's requirements and identify their business classification (large, small, small-disadvantaged, 8(a), or woman-owned) as well as ownership status (U.S. or foreign-owned). Responses to this pre-solicitation notice are due by September 16, 2025, and must be submitted via email to Contracting Officer Cynthia Diezel, with telephone inquiries explicitly not accepted.
This procurement does not utilize any set-aside designation and is classified under NAICS code 811210 for Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance. The estimated period of performance spans from November 19, 2025, through November 18, 2027, providing approximately two years of maintenance and repair services. While specific contract values are not disclosed in the pre-solicitation notice, the procurement covers ongoing maintenance and repair operations for a single MRI system at the Nevada facility.
