About this opportunity
The Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Integrated Service Network 15, seeks annual medical gas inspection services at the Robert J. Dole VA Medical Center in Wichita, Kansas, with quotations due June 19, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. Central Time and technical questions due June 15. The procurement is set-aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses and Veteran-Owned Small Businesses.
Place of performance is 5500 E Kellogg Avenue, Wichita, Kansas. The scope encompasses NFPA 99-compliant annual inspections of approximately 750 station outlets/inlets, master/area/local alarms, isolation/zone valves, pipelines, labeling, and source supply equipment across eight buildings. Contractor personnel must hold ASSE 6020 (Inspector) certification, with verification testing performed by ASSE 6030 (Verifier) certified personnel. Work is performed Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. CST, excluding federal holidays.
The contract is structured as a five-year firm fixed-priced IDIQ with an estimated performance period from July 6, 2026 through July 5, 2031, comprised of five one-year ordering periods. Deliverables include a searchable PDF inspection report due within 30 calendar days of completion, containing outlet inventory, alarm test results, zone valve status, source equipment readings, labeling compliance documentation with photos, and deficiency lists with NFPA 99 references and risk rankings. The Government will conduct 100% review of deliverables and random physical spot-checks (5–10%) of outlets, alarms, and valves.
Quotations must address technical capability—experience, approach, and industry certifications—and provide a price schedule with pricing for each CLIN across all five ordering periods. Offers are valid for 90 days from submission. Contractors must obtain Personal Identity Verification badges for routine physical access to VA facilities.
