About this opportunity
The United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) has issued a Request for Information (RFI) for the International Special Operations Forces (ISOF) Range 2026, a technology demonstration event scheduled for April 14-15, 2026, at the Nevada Test and Training Range in Nevada. This special notice invites technology demonstration candidates from private industry, government research organizations, academia, and individuals to apply for exhibitor spaces to showcase innovative lethality technologies. The event will feature approximately 75 exhibitor spaces for both live-fire and non-live fire technology demonstrations across multiple categories including weapons, visual augmentation systems, demolitions/breaching, ammunition, shoulder-launched munitions, and precision strike systems. Additionally, a specialized Last Line of Defense (LLOD) Rodeo will be conducted on April 12, 2026, focusing on counter-unmanned aircraft systems (cUAS) testing for small units.
The primary objective of ISOF Range 2026 is to conduct hands-on market research of technologies that address lethality gaps and inform future requirements for Special Operations Forces. Key deadlines include October 30, 2025, for the first tranche of applications targeting 80% of range spaces, with notifications by November 20, 2025, and January 30, 2026, for the second tranche with notifications by February 12, 2026. Technology applications must demonstrate Technology Readiness Level (TRL) 7 or higher, though a separate track exists for lower TRL "disruptive technologies." Eligible participants include private industry, government R&D organizations, academic institutions, and individuals who must submit unclassified applications through the Phoenix Defence website and bear all demonstration costs, travel, and associated expenses. The event will provide an audience of U.S. and international Special Operations Forces, federal law enforcement units, military combat development offices, and government technical personnel who will evaluate technologies and provide written feedback to demonstrators.
