About this opportunity
U.S. Special Operations Command is conducting a Request for Information (RFI) for technology demonstrations at the International Special Operations Forces (ISOF) Range 2027, scheduled for April 13–14, 2027, at the Nevada Test and Training Range, Nevada, with applications due by January 29, 2027 for second-tranche consideration. The event is being held in partnership with the Program Manager for SOF Lethality, Joint Services Small Arms Program, Office of the Under Secretary of War for Research and Engineering, and U.S. Army Product Director for Crew Served Weapons.
USSOCOM invites technology demonstrations across nine categories: Weapons, Visual Augmentation Systems, Demolitions/Breaching, Ammunition, Shoulder Launched Munitions, Unmanned Lethal Strike Systems, Counter Unmanned Aircraft Systems, Crew Served Weapons, and Other Relevant Disruptive Technologies. Most categories require Technology Readiness Level 7 or higher; disruptive technologies may be lower TRL. Demonstrations are open to private industry, government R&D organizations, academia, and individuals.
Approximately 40+ invited international Special Operations Forces units, federal law enforcement and inter-agency special units, and U.S. military combat development offices will attend for hands-on evaluation. Respondents must submit unclassified applications via the Phoenix Defence website (https://isofrange.com/) by October 30, 2026 for first-tranche consideration or January 29, 2027 for second-tranche consideration. All respondent costs—submission, travel, demonstrations, ammunition, and attendance—are the respondent's responsibility. Respondents with laser, UAS, UGV, or frequency-radiating technologies must complete supplemental worksheets and obtain approval. Export control compliance is the respondent's responsibility. No contracts will be awarded based on this RFI or event participation.
