About this opportunity
The United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) has issued a Request for Information (RFI) for the International Special Operations Forces (ISOF) Range 2026, a technology demonstration event scheduled for April 12-15, 2026 at the Nevada Test and Training Range in Nevada. This special notice invites technology demonstration candidates from private industry, government R&D organizations, academia, and individuals to apply for participation in showcasing innovative lethality technologies. The event is being conducted by the Program Manager - SOF Lethality in cooperation with the Joint Services Small Arms Program and OUSD R&E Foreign Comparative Testing Office. The demonstration will feature approximately 75 live-fire technology spaces in an exhibitor range and additional non-live fire demonstration areas. The audience will include USSOCOM personnel, over thirty international SOF units, federal law enforcement special units, and military combat development offices from all service branches.
The primary purpose of ISOF Range 2026 is to conduct hands-on market research of technologies addressing lethality gaps and to inform future requirements for special operations forces. Technology categories of interest include weapons, visual augmentation systems, demolitions/breaching equipment, ammunition, shoulder-launched munitions, precision strike systems, and other disruptive technologies, with preference given to solutions at Technology Readiness Level 7 or higher. Key submission deadlines include October 30, 2025 for the first tranche of voting intended to fill 80% of range spaces, and January 30, 2026 for the second tranche. Respondents must submit unclassified technology applications through the Phoenix Defence website at https://isofrange.com/, and all demonstration costs will be borne by the participating organizations. Additionally, selected novel technologies may participate in the Last Line of Defense Rodeo on April 12, 2026, specifically focused on small-unit counter-unmanned aircraft systems testing.
