About this opportunity
The Department of the Air Force Materiel Command Nuclear Weapons Center has published a Special Notice regarding the ICBM Development, Operations, and Sustainment (IDOS) Effort program. This notice is classified under Engineering Services (NAICS 541330) and was posted on December 15, 2025, with a due date of December 19, 2025. The notice contains no set-aside provisions and serves as an informational update to industry stakeholders regarding the IDOS program's acquisition strategy. This notification originates from the Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center and is intended to provide transparency about upcoming contracting activities related to intercontinental ballistic missile development and sustainment efforts.
The primary purpose of this Special Notice is to inform industry that the IDOS team is preparing to present its proposed acquisition strategy to the approval authority and will provide further updates once that strategy receives approval. Interested contractors should note that no solicitation or draft solicitation is expected to be posted until after the holiday period. The notice establishes specific points of contact for all IDOS program inquiries: contracting officer Mr. Blake Davis and contract specialist Ms. Kristen Cross, who are the only authorized representatives for industry questions. Contractors are instructed not to copy or include other Air Force leadership personnel on communications directed to the contracting officer, and all future requests for in-person or virtual meetings with AFNWC leadership regarding the IDOS program will not be accommodated. This Special Notice essentially serves as a preliminary announcement that encourages industry engagement while establishing clear communication protocols and timelines for future solicitation activity.
