About this opportunity

The Department of the Air Force Materiel Command Nuclear Weapons Center has issued a Special Notice announcing an updated acquisition strategy for the ICBM Development, Operations, and Sustainment (IDOS) program. This notice signals a shift in how the government plans to solicit and award contracts for IDOS-related work. The program will utilize the OASIS+ contract vehicle as its primary procurement mechanism. The announcement is categorized under Engineering Services (NAICS 541330) and represents a significant change from previous acquisition approaches. Interested contractors should note that this strategy update will govern future IDOS procurements while remaining distinct from the ongoing IDOS-IT effort.

The government is conducting market research through two separate Sources Sought Synopses to evaluate the competitive landscape and determine appropriate contracting approaches for two distinct task orders: Systems Engineering & Integration Support Services and Program Execution Support Services. Contractors interested in these opportunities should access the relevant RFI numbers on GSA eBuy—RFI1794190 and RFI1794191 for the first task order, and RFI1794192 through RFI1794195 for the second task order. The market research process will also inform decisions regarding potential set-asides for small businesses or other designated groups. While detailed deadlines and specific eligibility criteria are not outlined in this notice, interested parties are advised to monitor GSA eBuy and the Market Research as a Service (MRAS) websites for follow-up information, while continuing to check SAM.gov for future solicitations and updates.

Notice text

This notice announces an update in the acquisition strategy for the ICBM Development, Operations, and Sustainment (IDOS) program. The program intends to utilize the One Acquisition Solution for Integrated Services Plus (OASIS+) contract vehicle to compete and award the associated work.

Work will be competed via two separate task orders:

  1. Systems Engineering & Integration (SE&I) Support Services
  2. Program Execution Support Services

Please note, these task orders are distinct from the ongoing IDOS-IT effort.

To assess how this new strategy may impact the competitive environment, the Government is issuing two Sources Sought Synopses (SSS)—one for each task order. This market research will also help determine if any set-asides should be considered. To access the update, please search GSA eBuy using the below RFI numbers.

  • Access SSS #1: GSA eBuy RFI1794190 &  RFI1794191
  • Access SSS #2: GSA eBuy RFI1794192,  RFI1794193,  RFI1794194,  RFI1794195

Going forward, IDOS information will be posted on the GSA eBuy and Market Research as a Service (MRAS) websites. However, interested parties should continue to monitor SAM.gov.
