The project includes demolishing an existing abandoned concrete pad and vault, hauling debris to a state-approved landfill, excavating and preparing the site, installing a new CXT Incorporated double vault toilet structure, and furnishing and installing 10 concrete bollards. The contractor must begin work within 10 calendar days of receiving notice to proceed and complete the project within 30 calendar days, with work preferably scheduled for fall 2025 (approximately September 1 to October 30). Key deliverables are due 14 days before construction begins and include a project schedule, material submittals, staging area plan, traffic control plan, and accident prevention plan. The proposal submission deadline is July 21, 2025 at 1:00 PM Central Time, with all questions due by July 7, 2025.
This procurement is designated as a Total Small Business set-aside with an estimated value between $100,000 and $250,000. The work will be performed at the Herman Gulch Trailhead site located near I-70 in Bakerville, Colorado, approximately 55 miles west of Denver at an elevation of around 10,400 feet. The project involves four base items: mobilization, old vault and lid demolition, double vault toilet procurement and installation, and furnishing and installing 10 pour-in-place concrete bollards. Both bid and performance bonds will be required for this project, and contractors must comply with Davis-Bacon Act wage determinations for Clear Creek County, Colorado.
