About this opportunity
The Federal Contract Opportunity is seeking a contractor to perform an Arc Flash Analysis for the Stratton VA Medical Center in Albany, NY. The analysis will include the entire electrical system, both normal and emergency, and is intended to make the facility electrical systems compliant with VHA Directive 1028 and NFPA 70E. The contract is projected to run from 09/11/2023 through 09/10/2024, with the final report to be completed, submitted, and approved within 147 calendar days after the Notice to Proceed.
Services and products to be provided by the contractor:
- Arc Flash Analysis for the Stratton VA Medical Center.
- Compliance with VHA Directive 1028 and NFPA 70E.
- Site survey work and coordination with the VAMC.
- Submission of 60%, 90%, and final reports, including hard copies and electronic copies.
- Provision of a licensed copy of the software used by the contractor to produce the report, a five-year software update & support contract, and on-site training for eight facility personnel.

The Contractor shall perform an Arc Flash Analysis for the Stratton VA Medical Center (VAMC), Albany NY. The study shall include the entire electrical system/s (both normal and emergency). It shall begin at the incoming utility electrical service (for the normal system) and at the emergency generators (for the emergency system) and continue through to each branch circuit panelboard, motor control center or motor control panel in each building.
The purpose of this study is to make the facility electrical systems compliant with VHA Directive 1028 and NFPA 70E (2021) which requires an arc flash analysis every five years.
