The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New York District intends to issue a solicitation package seeking to award a firm-fixed price contract for the construction for Segment B2 of the Green Brook Flood Risk Management Project located in Middlesex Borough in New Jersey consists of the construction of ~285 ft of earthen levee, ~295 ft of concrete flood wall, 154 steel sheet pile cut off wall and raising of the Green Brook Segment B-1 Levee notch. This will be a 100% Small Business Set Aside competitive, Invitation for Bids (IFB).
The project magnitude is between $10 million and $25 million. The period of performance will be 730 calendar days from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed (NTP).
Anticipate the plans and specifications to be posted electronically on or about 23 August 2016 via the Federal Business Opportunity Website at www.fbo.gov, with a bid opening on or about 03 February 2017. Any and all amendments shall be likewise posted. Hard copies will not be available. It is the contractor's responsibility to monitor the FedBizOpps website for any amendments. Bidders are required to be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) www.sam.gov. Award will be made to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder.
The bid opening will be held at 26 Federal Plaza NY, NY 10278, the exact location will be included in the solicitation. All questions must be submitted in writing via email to:Rippert.P.Roberts@usace.army.mil. The media selected for issuance of the Solicitation and amendments shall solely be at the discretion of the Government; accordingly, the media utilized for this project shall be the internet.
