About this opportunity
The Department of the Air Force Materiel Command Air Force Sustainment Center is seeking a contractor to perform improvements to the H-915A low frequency antenna (LFA) installation at Vandenberg Space Force Base in California. The project involves re-installing the antenna, replacing existing coax cable with a higher-grade cable, and relocating the antenna coupler to the South Antenna Pole near Building 441. The solicitation (FA822225QB013) will use a Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA) evaluation approach, with only the three lowest-priced quotes undergoing technical review. A mandatory site visit was held on 2 April 2025, and quotes are due by 22 April 2025 at 5:00 PM MDT. Vendors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) and have a current SPRS NIST 800-171 DoD Assessment to be considered for award.
This is a local small business set-aside specifically for California-based vendors in the NAICS category 811210 (Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance) with a small business size standard of $34,000,000. The contract will be a firm fixed-price type with a single award, and the period of performance is no later than 21 calendar days after receipt of order. The place of performance is Lompoc, California, at Vandenberg Space Force Base. While no specific incumbent is mentioned, the project supports the Frequency Management System (FMS) team's radio frequency monitoring capabilities for government and commercial launches. The solicitation requires the contractor to update technical drawings, install a J-box, run 120V power, and ensure proper cable management and connections, with a technical drawing deliverable due five business days after installation completion.
