About this opportunity

The Department of the Air Force is conducting market research to identify sources capable of qualification and production of X-Band Receive Microwave Assemblies and associated power supplies, with unclassified technical capability statements due by August 22, 2026. No set-aside decision has been made; the Air Force will determine final strategy after analyzing small business responses and market research demonstrating interest and capability. Security clearance level and foreign participation limits remain undetermined; contractors should anticipate working with military, civilian, national partners, and contract personnel from various services and agencies.

Work is performed at Robins Air Force Base, Georgia. The scope encompasses development, production, delivery, installation, and testing of up to ten receive microwave assemblies, four low-noise amplifier power supplies, and four RMA power supplies (Part Numbers G552402, G552414, G552440). Design must be Form-Fit-Function replacement of existing assemblies with U.S. Government approval required for any substituted parts. Contractors must deliver a complete Technical Data Package in native CAD/CAE/CAM and PDF formats with unlimited data rights and test new or refurbished equipment for specification compliance. The subsystem includes four physically identical receive channels with configurable attenuation and amplification stages.

The Air Force anticipates full and open competition on SAM.gov with a contract structure utilizing Firm Fixed Price CLINs, though the complete acquisition strategy and RFP release date remain under finalization. Technical capability statements are limited to 30 pages and must include business information, CAGE code, DUNS number, relevant experience within the past three years, teaming arrangements, suggested contract types and CLIN structures, and anticipated performance, schedule, or cost risks. Technical questions are due by August 15, 2026, and will be answered on SAM.gov. Contact AFLCMC/ESGK-R Strategic Ground Sensors: Brandon Jones and Jessica Roberts.
