DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES
Provide improvements to the H-915A low frequency antenna (LFA) installation on the South Antenna Pole near Building 441 on Vandenberg SFB, CA. Building 441 houses the equipment used by the Frequency Management System (FMS) team to monitor radio frequencies on Vandenberg SFB in support of Government and commercial launches.
SCOPE
An LF Engineering H-915A antenna was installed on the South Antenna Pole of Building 441 and connected to a patch panel located in Bay 32 of Building 441. This work will improve the overall performance of the H-915A antenna as recommended by the manufacturer.
BASIC SERVICES
Re-install the H-915A antenna The contractor shall use the manufacturer instructions in Appendix A to re-install the H-915A antenna.
The contractor shall either reinstall the existing antenna on either the existing or new antenna pole at Building 441, depending on if the new antenna pole has been installed by time of award. See Government Point of Contact (GPOC).
Replace the Coax Cable The contractor shall remove and dispose of the existing coax cable connecting the H-915A antenna on the South Antenna Pole to the antenna coupler in Building 441.
The contractor shall replace the existing coax cable that connects the H-915A antenna to the patch panel in Building 441 with higher grade cable (LMR-600 or equivalent) that shields the cable from signal noise.
Place the Antenna Coupler next to the H-915A antenna The contractor shall remove the existing antenna coupler from Bay 32 in Building 441.
The contractor shall reinstall the antenna coupler on the cross member where the H-915A is installed on the South Antenna Pole.
The contractor shall enclose the antenna coupler in a box capable of withstanding the environment outside of Building 441.
The contractor shall run power from Building 441 up to the antenna coupler.
The contractor shall connect the antenna to the antenna coupler and run the coax cable down to Building 441 patch panel slot it currently occupies in Bay 32.
The contractor shall reconnect the antenna to the antenna coupler.
Drawings The following drawings shall be updated with redlines (IAW CDRL A001):
| 02000441096-31.pdf |
| 02000441096-31.dwg |

The drawing updates shall be delivered in both .dwg and .pdf formats.
The drawings shall be provided with the updated redlines within five (5) business days after the installation is complete, to reflect the installation and configuration of the updated electrical equipment.
Addition Details and Requirements
· Do not install the grounding connection on the antenna coupler.
· Provide a J-box on the pole as close to the antenna as possible.
· May need to modify the antenna feed cable to be just long enough to reach the j-box with a drip loop and pass it through the bottom of the j-box so as not to have any penetrations in the top of the box, which will limit the moisture or intrusion of any water.
· Install 120v power to the j-box along with the antenna feed cable and maintain separation within the j-box as best as possible between power and signal lines.
· Install antenna cable to the point of connection designated in Building 441.
· Acquire 120 volt (V) from the nearest power source coordinated with the building 441 facility manager.
· Install antenna cable ends as needed and strap as required.
· Contractor shall provide and use their own bucket truck to reach the South Antenna Pole cross member holding the current H-915A.
· Test the power and coordinate a test for the antenna before the bucket truck is removed from the site.
Period of Performance (PoP):
The Contractor shall uninstall the antenna, update the electrical equipment and hardware, and reinstall the antenna no later than (NLT) 21 calendar days after receipt of order (ARO).
