About this opportunity

The National Park Service Southeast Region seeks fire systems inspection and service for Natchez National Historical Park, with quotations due June 12, 2026. The procurement is a Total Small Business set-aside under NAICS 541990.

Place of performance is 640 S Canal St, Natchez, MS 39120. The contract covers a one-year period from July 1, 2026, through July 1, 2027, and requires comprehensive full-service maintenance, inspection, testing, and repair across 15 park facilities. Fire alarm control panels are installed at six facilities (Natchez Visitor Center, Melrose Estate Mansion, Melrose Estate Bally Building, Melrose Estate North Slave Quarters, Melrose Mansion Maintenance Shop, and William Johnson House); fire sprinkler systems are at three facilities (Natchez Visitor Center, Melrose Estate Mansion, and William Johnson House).

Scope includes annual fire alarm and sprinkler inspections and testing per NFPA 72 and NFPA 25 standards; a minimum of four quarterly preventive maintenance visits; unlimited on-call corrective maintenance and repair (24-hour response for emergency calls affecting system operation or life safety, 72-hour response for non-emergency calls); and portable fire extinguisher inspections. The contractor supplies all labor, tools, testing equipment, diagnostic equipment, replacement parts, and documentation. Personnel performing work must hold current NICET certification appropriate to their work. Excluded services include fire alarm control panel replacement, major panel upgrades, major sprinkler piping repairs, underground piping, major valve replacement, system replacement, and capital improvements. Routine work is performed during normal park hours (7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding Federal holidays) with coordination through the Contracting Officer's Representative. The PSC code is H363. Award will be firm fixed price based on cost, technical approach, and relevant experience. Bidders must provide a registered Unique Entity Identifier and references of applicable experience.
