Amendment 7 7/19/2018
RFI Questions & Answers
1. On the SF-30 it says Option 3 is for Roof C, but then there's no Scope provided for work on Roof C. Can you clarify the scope of work and/or if this is not an option?
Answer: Roof C initially had no repairs to it so it was not listed on the original scope as needing any design or work done. However, when the scope was amended to provide roof anchors for window washing/maintenance, roof C came into play. Roof C will only need an anchor system design and the anchors installed on it per the amended scope. No other repairs will be needed on roof C.
•2. 2. What type of ceiling is present at Roofs B and C?
Is the thickness of the concrete decks at Roofs B and C known?
Answer: The ceilings under roof section B are open to the concrete roof deck in three areas, and a mixture of a plaster ceiling and a suspended drop ceiling under the roof deck. There is plenty of accessibility.
The ceiling under roof section C is a mixture of a plaster ceiling and a suspended drop ceiling under the roof deck. There is also plenty of accessibility on this one as well.
The roof deck on roof c is approximately 3 inches thick.
The roof deck(s) on roof(s) b are approximately 5 inches thick.
