About this opportunity

The Indian Health Service (IHS) is conducting a market research survey for dental handpiece replacement and repair services specifically for the Albuquerque Indian Dental Clinic. The agency is seeking potential vendors capable of providing replacement and repair services for Kavo Dental Handpieces, with a focus on identifying qualified small business suppliers. Interested businesses must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) and the Invoice Processing Platform (IPP), and must submit a comprehensive Statement of Capabilities (SOC) demonstrating their technical abilities and past performance. Respondents are required to provide detailed information about their business, including size classification, ownership status, and specific capabilities related to Kavo Dental Handpieces. The submission deadline is March 17, 2025, at 12:00 PM Mountain Time, with all responses to be sent directly to Stephanie Begay via email.

The pre-solicitation notice indicates this opportunity is set aside for Indian Small Business Economic Enterprises, with potential consideration for other small business classifications. While no specific contract value is mentioned, the procurement will target businesses authorized to distribute and repair Kavo Dental Handpieces, with a preference for firms that can demonstrate relevant past performance within the last three years. The evaluation will assess respondents' capabilities across multiple dimensions, including employee skills, contract history, and technical expertise in dental equipment services. Businesses must provide comprehensive documentation including company details, UEI number, NAICS classification, and responses to specific qualification questions about their business type and technical capabilities. The IHS will use the collected information to determine the most appropriate acquisition strategy and potential set-aside approach for the final solicitation.
